Ayushman Bharath is a health insurance scheme that enables poor people to get free treatment up to 5 lacs in govt. and empanelled private hospitals. Pregnancy is also covered in this scheme

SKAST has helped many poor people to get his card. All you need is aadhar card, ration card and passport size photos.

For people in Tamilnadu, CMCHIS scheme which is the same as Ayushman Bharath is available. For this your annual income must be less than 1.2 lacs and have a valid ration card.
